Experience

Cisco — Software Engineer II

June 2024–Present

San Jose, CA | Promoted August 2025

  • Expanded cloud-management connectivity to L3 routed and backup uplinks, developing C control-plane support, CLI/NETCONF configuration, and scoring integration.
  • Enabled administrators to configure HTTP proxies for cloud management in networks requiring proxy egress, building CLI and YANG/NETCONF interfaces with persistent storage and atomic rejection of invalid updates.
  • Initiated, designed, and built a Python/FastAPI platform for an 11-person engineering team, integrating Webex/Jenkins with authorized build queues, device reservations, and a shared dashboard and CLI.
  • Designed a Python/pyATS regression framework with parallel execution, shared-device locking, and automated recovery, reducing a regression run from 145 to 74 minutes (49%).

InStryde — Software Engineer Intern

May 2021–May 2024

Winston-Salem, NC

  • Built a Python/FastAPI REST API for extracting data points from 2D images with PyTorch, HuggingFace, and OpenCV; scaled processing through Kubernetes HPA and cluster autoscaling with custom metrics.
  • Reduced deployment build times by 80% through GitHub Actions, Google Cloud Build, and Docker caching and multistage builds; implemented Firebase backend security and data retention practices.

Bandwidth — Software Engineer Intern

May–July 2023

Raleigh, NC

  • Developed Java/Spring Boot services to streamline attribute updates for millions of phone numbers in DynamoDB, using optimistic locking for concurrency control.
  • Automated AWS CDK and GitHub Actions deployments, reducing deployment times by approximately 65% and eliminating manual production changes.

Selected projects

Haystack — Find My E-Bike Tracker

Go, TypeScript, SQLite, Docker

  • Built a self-hosted e-bike tracker integrating Apple’s Find My network, deriving rotating P-224 keys and decrypting authenticated AES-GCM location reports.
  • Implemented persistent recovery scans, deduplicated location history, and an authenticated map interface to retain sightings across device downtime and service restarts.

Shared PWA & Identity Platform

Go, Svelte, TypeScript, SQLite, WebAuthn

  • Built shared identity services with passkey authentication, authorization-code/PKCE sign-in, application access grants, and a reusable Go library for sessions, CSRF protection, and logout.
